There is ALREADY a "draft" in place; it's called the Selective Service system, and it's been around since before World War II. At age 18, all males are required to register with Selective Service. Since women are not required to register, this is rank sexism.
There have been no men actually drafted into the military since the late 1970's, and there is precisely zero chance (barring a major attack on the US and an actual declaration of war against an enemy) that anybody will ever be drafted again. The military hates the very thought of a draft; people who would have to be forced to fight don't make good soldiers. And in the modern military, everybody is a volunteer, and there are more volunteers than they can actually take.
When registered, all men are evaluated for their physical and mental fitness for military service. Autistic men would be as "4F", not physically qualified for military service.
