If a guy told you he loved you then said later he was only joking and avoids you and acts disinterested does this still mean he really does love you?

It depends if he was under the influence of alcohol or drugs when he told you he loved you. While under the influence of especially alcohol people can say and do things they don't mean and sometimes guys can say this just to get the girl to bed. People don't usually use the word "joke" when they tell someone they don't love them. This guy sounds like a jerk and if you were smart you'd move on. If he wants you bad enough he'll come looking for you and if he does, make him work his butt off for you and if he doesn't consider yourself lucky. Always try to keep your dignity and realize that we all make mistakes and should learn from them. Take charge of your own life and NEVER let anyone use you as the butt of their joke or to get what they want from you. Take charge! Good luck hon Marcy

He was just being a total goof doing the whole interview so it is hard to take what ever he says seriously during that specific interview.
