Pregnancy is never the answer to ANYTHING. I've seen couples who were close to breaking up or divorce and then all of a sudden the woman becomes pregnant in an attempt to "save" the marriage. That never works, by the way. Having a baby is stressful enough. It's not going to bring a feuding couple closer. If that were true then there would be no divorces among people with children. With a narcissist you have a whole other set of problems to deal with. A narcissist will not "magically" stop being a narcissist because she is sorry, "wishes to change" or is pregnant. She needs counseling and therapy and if you've been involved with her for awhile you probably both need therapy to help you through this. My only last thought is (and please forgive me if I'm barking up the wrong tree) but you said "stop the lies." Are you sure she's even pregnant? ~T No. Pregnancy will ultimately make no difference in the narcissist. The person who will truly suffer the effects of this is the child, who will pay for his or her parent's personality disorder for the rest of his life.

Narcissists have a natural ability to turn any situation in their favor (in their own minds, of course!). If they feel it is important that they are the one who "left" the relationship, then in their minds, they are, in fact, the one who left the relationship. If it were to their benefit that you "left" the relationship, then that is the way it would be (in their own minds, of course!). There is no way to change the mind of the N and the N will so adamantly believe they left the relationship, the belief becomes the truth for them. You do know that it is of no importance who exited the relationship. The important factor is that you are free of the narcissist and if you have any hope of living a peaceful life, you will keep it that way!
