Your representative or congressman might be able to help. We used this resource to get my father's Purple Heart and Bronze Star 50 years after he was wounded in France. An imortant document called the DD-214 is issued to each serviceman upon discharge. Search for it and preserve it. Your nearest VFW post is an excellent place to start a search for assistance.
