If an employee forged checks and cashed them and the employer found out but hasn't fired them and is trying to work out payments can the employee still be arrested for this?

yes and based on this employees judgment of character he or she doesn't sound like someone who should have working for you if they're willing to still from the company they're willing to steal from you so you need to make a good decision when it comes down to that don't be fooled by the willing to pay it back situation you should have automatically dismissed the person and went through the courts because the odds of the stealing again is more likely because they got away with it I'm sure having to pay it back is not changing his or her mind about doing it again.
