Yes, particularly the throttle position sensor. But it could also be literally thousands of other things.
The throttle body is where the air goes into the engine. Find the air filter, then follow the plastic duct over to the throttle body. It is round and made of metal.
On the 4.0 liter V6 the big rubber engine air intake tube goes from the engine air filter to the throttle body located at the front / top of the engine
on top of engine, just before hose goes to air cleaner.
You find the throttle body at the end (attached) of all the air intake stuff-- In other words air goes in to your engine via the throttle body, after passing through the air filter apperatus etc.
That's the part the air goes through into the engine on top
Throttle plate stuck Control cable bound? Throttle body assembly?
It is located on the side of the throttle body, which is the metal piece connected to the hose that goes to the air filter. It is held on with two screws and a clip for the wire. You cannot test it, only replace it.
I have an 06 Colorado and there was a recall on them for that. Might be something to check into.
The fuel does not go to the throttle body it goes to the fuel injectors.
The throttle cable goes from the 'gas' pedal to the carburetor or throttle body to control the speed of the engine. On cars the brake cable goes to the emergency brake, on some motorcycles the brake cable goes to the brakes. (The main brakes for cars and some motorcycles are hydraulically operated, not by a cable.)
The throttle position sensor is mounted to the throttle body. It is located opposite of where the throttle cable goes onto the throttle body.
Remove the air cleaner and the air supply from the top of the throttle body. Have someone step inside the vehicle and slowly press and release the throttle while the engine is off. Watch to see what moves. The throttle butterfly is operated by the cable from the accelerator pedal. Notice that the cable goes over a sprocket that moves the throttle. On the OPPOSITE side of the throttle body should be a black plastic thingy with wires connected. THAT's the throttle body.
