Many fish that do so, such as salmon, move between these environments at a slow pace. Many fish are adapted to live in either condition but that change can occur. Higher concentrations of salt would cause a Freshwater Fish to become dehydrated and eventually die. Fresh water would affect salt water fish by bloating. Water is used to balance the effects of salt but when salt water fish are introduced to fresh water quickly that balance is upset and thus, we have a high amount of water, bloating.
One of the most common fish that can live in both salt and fresh water is a salmon:)
The teacher had to have a lot of tolerance to deal with the new boy.
they experience both salt water and fresh water regularly
The optimum range of an organisms ability to maintain life. It is the type of conditions a specific species can survive in, and reproduce fertile offspring.
tolerance range is the abiotic conditions. Optimal range is the preferred range of a species
We could call that fitness, or adaptation.
why do manufacturing processes produce parts with wide range of tolerance
An organism's range of tolerance is usually centered on its optimum conditions.
An organism's range of tolerance is usually centered on its optimum conditions.
Ideal range means the normal operating conditions, and range of tolerance means the extreme varied conditions in which operation can continue, without failure
Ideal range means the normal operating conditions, and range of tolerance means the extreme varied conditions in which operation can continue, without failure
A tolerance curve is the range of conditions within which the organism can live and function.
Shelford's Law Of Tolerance states that the distribution of a species will be limited by its range of tolerance for local environmental factors.
