how many meters above sea level is Mount Everest base camp
Solar electricity is needed so to keep the base running it would need to be in light.
Olympus Mons on Mars is 3 times higer than Mount Everest from its base!!!
K2 is the second highest (as opposed to tallest) mountain in the world. The highest mountain is not necessarily the tallest, considering the difference in height between the peak and the surrounding base of the mountain. There is no precise definition of surrounding base, but Mount McKinley, Mount Kilimanjaro and Nanga Parbat are possible candidates for the tallest mountain on land by this measure. Mauna Kea, which is partially submerged in the ocean, is considered the tallest mountain in the world. It rises more than 10,000 meters (32,808 ft) from the floor of the Pacific Ocean. It is located in Hawaii, USA.
It depends on where you are measuring from- it is indeed the tallest mountain since its base is on a spot on the floor of the Pacific Ocean. However, Mount Everest is the tallest mountain from sea level.
I think Chimborazo, at 6,268 meters, is the highest mountain in Ecuador, unless there is one that drops into the ocean, and measured from its ocean floor base is technically 'taller'. Chimborazo is also the point furthest from the center of the Earth (since the Earth is wider at the equator). So by that measure, the peak of Chimborazo is the 'highest' point on the planet. Mt Everest is the highest above sea level, Mauna Lea is the 'tallest' (from base in the ocean floor).
For absolute height above sea level, Mount Everest is the highest mountain. As measured from a land base, it would be Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa. As measured from the center of the Earth, the Andean mountain Chimborazo has the highest point. The overall highest mountain on Earth is Mauna Kea in Hawaii which has its base beneath the Pacific Ocean. This volcano rises to 10203 meters from the sea floor, whereas Mount Everest is the highest mountain on land at 8848 meters.
There are several factors in determining how much a mountain weighs. How tall the mountain is, size of the mountain, it's density, and if someone is measuring the mountain from sea level or from just the base of the mountain are some of the factors to consider. For example Mount Everest is the highest mountain in altitude at 29,035 ft (8,850m)above sea level. Mauna Kea in Hawaii however, is the tallest mountain at 33,436 ft from its base in the bottom of the Pacific Ocean but only rises 13,796 feet above sea level. Now, Mount Chimborazo in Ecuador has an altitude of 20,703 feet (6,310 meters). But, Chimborazo has the distinction of being the highest mountain above Earth's center. Which would be noteworthy if measuring these mountains (mathematically speaking) from the same point of reference.
To get to Mount Everest you would fly from Kathmandu to Tenzing-Hillary Airport also known as Lukla Airport. From there you would trek to the base camp at Everest.
To reach Mount Everest you would fly from your country to Kathmandu then fly from there to Lukla. Then its a 10 - 14 day hike to Everest base camp.
Mount for a scope.
All expeditions that go to Mount Everest take there own portable generators with them which gives them electric at Base Camp.
The Base Camp at the bottom of Mount Everest is used as a 'home' for the climbers who intend to climb to the summit and back. In Base Camp the climber would prepair themselve for their climb, eat and drink well, get plenty of rest and sleep and also let their body aclimatise to the high altitude. Base Camp is a very important part of climbing Mount Everest.
Solar Power is often used in Base Camp at the bottom of Mount Everest. This would be used for communication with the outside world.
The base has a circumference of 93 miles
Today if you wanted to go to the Mount Everest Base Camp on the north side in Tibet you can drive nearly all the way there. If you went to the South side Base Camp in Nepal you would need to walk all the way there as there are no roads. Back in the 1920's the teams would either walk or ride a horse to get to Base Camp.
The base of mount Everest is 1,097 feet above sea level the information is the the world topigraphical location
