Well yea ... der. If washing powder couldn't dissolve than whats that point of having it? Once you put the powder in the machine, either front loader or top loader, the powder will start dissolving once you start the machine. Some washing powders don't dissolve very well but they do dissolve a some. hope i helped... xx
baking powder will not show any colour change in litmus soltion because water is absent but wen it is mixed wid water and then subjected to the litmus solution, the red litmus wud change to blue.

It's certainly possible ! I have a black t-shirt which has faded to a grey/brown colour on the outside - but is still jet-black on the inside ! Therefore the colour change cannot be attributed to repeated washing - and must be bleaching by the sun ! If the colour change was due to the bleach in washing powder - it would be faded on both sides !
