When i had a scan on the 30th September 2009 and i thought i was 9 weeks but when i went for my scan i was told i am 10 weeks and 1 day i don't know what to count?

It could be possible that your not as far along as you think. But I was 9 weeks and went for my first ultrasound and my child had no heartbeat and looked to be 6 weeks along. Yes it can be sometimes when your around 6-7 weeks into your pregnancy. At 10 weeks, based on the size of the foetus and conception date a pretty accurate date can be arrived at. Yes it can if you have a long cycle. My date from my period was 23rd September but I had a 36 day cycle and my scan date was 4th October.

I had a scan the same as you, the bloodtests showed pregnancy but when I went for the ultrasound they couldn't find a sack. It turned out it was an ectopic pregnancy. My suggestion, get it checked out straight away.
