Plavix is the best antiplatelet medicine out there. It's one 75mg pill/day. It is by prescription only. You'll bruise more and bleed longer with cuts etc, but the incidence of significant, life-threatening bleeds is extremely low. I've never seen it in my practice or heard of it in this medical community.

The best thing is that It will halt or slow the growth of arterial plaques that block heart, leg, carotid and kidney arteries. That is something aspirin cannot do. I'm a doctor of vascular medicine and I have all of my patients with cardiovasculr disease on it.
