- If it was the guy you like saying you are like a sister to him then it means he thinks highly of you, but isn't in love with and doesn't want to date you as a girlfriend.
- I agree with what is written above but you possibly could still go out with him but he may prefer it if you stay close - but as friends.

in my situation yes. it was an odd relationship. we liked each other for the longest time, but never had a "thing" all of the sudden he started saying i was like a sister to him. the sister he never had. we were really good friends. we don't talk anymore now. so if you want to keep your relationship well with this guy, i wouldn't push the relationship parrt. guys arent into that. you don't hook up or date family members either. hope this helps!
