According to the theory of general relativity, large masses such as a black hole bend and warp space-time in the surrounding area meaning that a straight line (the path a photon or light travels along) would appear bent to an outside observer.

There is no force acting upon the photon as they have neither mass nor charge they are just traveling through a curved area of space-time.

This is often called gravitational lensing and is associated with the phenomena called Einstein rings.

What is the difference between a black hole's photon sphere and its event horizon?

The photon sphere is a sphere above the event horizon in which light orbits the black hole.

What would happen if one photon of light passes through an electric field?

Nothing in our everyday existence suggests that an electric field has any influence on light shining through it.

Light consists of bundle of energy called?

Photon.Bundles of light energy produced by electron movement are called photons. A photon is an elementary particle, the quantum of light and all other forms of electromagnetic radiation.

Does light has mass and takes up space?

Do you know why can't we see a black hole even in the reflection of the light of the near stars? It is because the gravitational pull of a black hole is too much it attracts and traps the Photon particles(particles of light) and does'nt allow it to escape and reach our eyes. We know that Force= Mass*Acceleration. So if the mass of Photon particles is 0 unit, force applied on the Photon particles will be 0 unit, which directly means that no force is applied on the Photon particles. Thus if no force is applied the Photon particles then they will be not attracted towards the black hole. But in reality it is attracted, this suggests that light has mass. And if light has mass it will also take space.

What is the difference between a photon of yellow light and a photon of violet light?

A photon of yellow light has lower frequency that a photon of violet light. Remember that light can be considered both as particles (photons) and as waves. So when saying a photon has higher frequencie, its actually the wave part of the light that has a higher frequency.

The light bearing packet of energy emitted by an electron is called a?

A packet of light energy is called a photon.

Does a photon have electrons?

No. A photon is a particle of light. It is massless.

What is property of photon?

Among others: mass zero; electric charge zero; stable (it doesn't decay); it can only move at the speed of light.

What is length of photon?

Photon do not exist in reality. Newton's Corpuscular Theory of light ASSUMES an imaginary particle PHOTON to explain various phenomena of light.

Does a photon move at the speed of light?

Yes, a photon moves at the speed of light, because photons have no mass.
