as long as that belt turns all the wheels and doesn't affect anything else it won't sounds like a whole different problem to me
bull i have a 95 z28 and my ac compressor went out and i had to hit it with a hammer everyday till it locked up best thing and cheapest is to go to an auto parts store get a bypass pulley u wont have a/c but its cheaper and gives you a couple horses
you don't, there not the same.
Replace it.
the 1997 camaro doe's not have a fan belt it has a serpentine belt that you can change in about 5 min.
It should be located on the radiator support under the hood.
YOU DONT IT HAS A AUTO BELT TENSIONER
Possible diff. bearings
You will need to loosen the tensioner pulley. Slide the tensioner pulley to the right and the serpentine belt will become loose. Remove the old serpentine belt and put the new serpentine belt on. Slide the tensioner pulley to the left and tighten it.
it should be pretty tight, but no so tight that it stretches it
there should be a diagram on the top of your radiator housing
The bearings on the crankshaft are worn out. A complete engine overhaul is needed.
