It doesn't have a crank sensor. It still has a fully functional distributor.
crank sensor or cam sensor
That truck still has a distributor, it doesn't have a crank position sensor.
A bad cam or crank sensor can cause a no start, but the engine will still crank or turn over.
No, the engine will still crank over but will not start if this sensor is bad because it controls the fuel injection circuit.
No, The pcm has to see a signal from the sensor
no no no my crank sensor when out on my truck ar 95k now i have 125k and she is still running good
Happened to me to and need a crank sensor also!?
Have you replaced the cam and/or crank sensor?
Check fuel pressure, and check for codes. You will need a scan tool to read the cam and crank sensors while cranking, to see if they are working.
When the belt broke, it could have hit some of the wiring that controls the engine managment system. Crank sensor, Cam sensor, any number of things. I would start to trace down wires and make sure they are still connected and not cut or broken.
crank position sensor is bad
