Fill your coolant to the level that it should be at. If it still comes on when the coolant is at its proper area, then it is an improper sensor. You will need to have it replaced immediately to reset the sensor.
procedure on how to bleed air out of coolant system on 97 saturn ls
Low coolant? defective thermostat? Heater core plugged, restricted, or airbound? Control cable not working? Water pump not circulating coolant?
In most cases when a vehicle heater that has been working properly in the past begins to blow cold air the cooling system is low on coolant. It could also mean that your heater core is clogged. A good coolant system flush might take care of this, otherwise you may have to have it replaced.
7 quarts of coolant will fill your sl2
A 1995 Saturn SL2 will hold 7 quarts of coolant. Saturn vehicles are no longer made but can still be serviced by GMC dealerships.
The engine coolant temperature sensor has nothing to do with the low coolant light. The low coolant sensor is mounted in the bottom of the overflow/filling reservoir by your washer fluid bottle. You will need to verify that the coolant overflow/fill bottle has coolant in it and if it does then the sensor is bad and will have to be replaced.
low coolent/anti-freeze, check the tank and make sure it is full, if not, fill it to the full line. if the light doesn't go away, i would take it some place and see if the thermostat is working correctly.
Dexcool
First check the coolant level, a coolant leak would cause a heater to stop working- assuming you mean the blower is blowing but it isn't hot. A stuck thermostat will also cause you problems with your heat.
