The frost plugs are not frost plugs. They are actually openings to allow the release of the casting sand from the casting process
I have seen engines survive a freeze up like this but have seen many more that did not.
The freezer plug in a 3.2 Isuzu Rodeo is a easy find. The freezer plug is located on the left side of the engine.
engine freezer plug
A good spark plug will have a small amount of brown deposit, the gap will be very close to the specified gap for the engine and the ground and electrode will not be visibly worn.BUTA plug can still be faulty when it looks good
carb. adjustment, fuel filter or the engine is shot.
A GM 2.4 liter engine in a 98 cavalier should have a spark plug gap of .050. The plugs may come pre-gapped, it is still a good idea to check them.
It is propabely no good now but u can try this 1- Remove the Spark Plug. 2- Pour Oil Into the Plug Hole. 3- Turn the Engine Back and Forth Using the Blade and see if it Loosens Up. If it Does, then Turn the Engine a Few Times with the Starter while the Plug is Still Out and then Replace the Plug and Try to Start it.
WATER PUMP RADIATOR HOSE OR HEATE RHOUSE MAYBE EVEN A FREEZER PLUG ON THE ENGINE POPED OUT
only if you have a diesel engine.
no withou a freeze plug the water will escape the engine and cause it to over heat.
Yes it's a real good chance that is is cracked. But you might get lucky.
.032" good luck
On a carburetors motor pull the coil wire from the distributor cap (the plug wire in the center of the distributor). This is usually found between the air cleaner and the firewall. Remove the desired spark plug from the engine block, plug it into the coil wire and touch the spark plug body (the metal portion) to the engine block while cranking the engine. You will see spark if the plug is good.
