96 doesnt have the supercharger so yes
What made you think it is a 1996? It's pretty tough to mis-identify a SuperCharger?
The Buick Riviera with supercharger should put out 240hp
There is no button for the supercharger. The supercharger is always on because it is being driven by the belts of the engine. When you step on the gas, there is a vacuum line that is hooked up to the supercharger in which will close a little valve causing the boost to be diverted into the engine.
There is a noise on the top of my 96 S/C buick riviera engine (in the supercharger housing) Sounds to me like bearings? How do Ilubricate S/C? And when do I Change this lubricant?
A variety of options exist. See the Reatta forum http://www.reatta.net/. What is a riviera witch?
from underneath the car you can get right to them
Neglect to replace the supercharger oil.
RIGHT SIDE OF ENGINE NEAR CRANK PULLY
I would replace the line....ughh
It takes 2 bottles of the GM supercharger oil (or Ford supercharger oil, they are the same product). Do not try to substitute anything else for it either. It is a specialized oil built for the iron bearings that are used in these superchargers.
Buick Riviera was created in 1963.
No, but impossible to check anything else if it is leaking. And if the rack and pinon is leaking, then it will have to be changed anyway.
buick riviera '92. My dad had one and he loved it.
