Perhaps it is in The Bible, but by faith alone you know that God works in His time. The Hebrew people were God's chosen ones. They were filled with faith that God would one day free them. God works in mysterious ways no one can understand.

President Abraham Lincoln freed slaves in rebellious areas of the US in 1863. All other slaves had been freed in the North.

The Emancipation Proclamation freed slaves in 10 states that were still in rebellion in 1863. It did not, however, take into account slaves that were in bordering Union states. These remaining slaves were freed on the state and federal level.

What was the consequence for Lincoln's Emancipation Proclamation hoped to set all the slaves free?

It didn’t set all slaves free. It only freed slaves in the states of the confederacy. One of the consequences was the slaves began to follow the union troops and many enlisted as soldiers.

When did the Emancipation Proclamation go into effect and how many slaves did it free?

January 1, 1863. It only freed all slaves in the states that had seceded and formed the Confederacy. In all, it was about 3 million slaves.

Did the Emancipation proclamation declared that all enslaved people were free?

No. The Emancipation Proclamation, written by Abraham Lincoln, declared all slaves in the CONFEDERATE states free. This did no good because the confederate states were not in Lincoln's control at the time. This document said nothing about the UNION slaves, though. A couple of the states fighting on Lincoln's side still had slaves, and the emancipation proclamation did not set them free.

The document that President Abraham Lincoln used to free the slaves was called the Emancipation Proclamation. It freed slaves in the rebelling Southern states only, not border states.
