It may not help, that just might be the water that was laying in the pipes when the filter was shut down,if you have your filter on a timer you need to run your filter more often, or you need to look and see if it is just happening to one of the inlets or too all of the inlets you may have a cracked pipe, sand filters and D.T.E. filters do not allow yellow or brown water back into the pool after they have been shut down and restarted, I mean you have nothing to loose I would try it turning the discharge valve to the open position just to check that one of the return lines does not have a crack in the pipe. If you have a D. E. filter then some of the elements may be torn. Have the filter serviced.
