if it has a choke hold the choke closed then when the truck is started open it up about 1/4 an inch and see if that works
It seems to be starving of fuel. Check fuel pump and fuel filter. Its a good ideal to change the filter anyways. If the engine idles ok but shakes or stalls when you step on the gas, then you don't have enough fuel to the engine. Some trucks have w fuel pumps, one high pressure at the frame and one low pressure at the tank.
The guy above is right. it is DEFINANTLY a fuel problem and the truck is not getting enough fuel. I ran out of fuel in one tank in my 91 f150 and it did the same exact thing as you describe.
