if it has a choke hold the choke closed then when the truck is started open it up about 1/4 an inch and see if that works
It seems to be starving of fuel. Check fuel pump and fuel filter. Its a good ideal to change the filter anyways. If the engine idles ok but shakes or stalls when you step on the gas, then you don't have enough fuel to the engine. Some trucks have w fuel pumps, one high pressure at the frame and one low pressure at the tank.
The guy above is right. it is DEFINANTLY a fuel problem and the truck is not getting enough fuel. I ran out of fuel in one tank in my 91 f150 and it did the same exact thing as you describe.
I have 98 4 cyliner automatic Toyota Camry. When I'm coming to a red light, and when I'm braking, the car begins to shake, and the shake doesn't stop even when the car is stopped. Howeverif i switch the transmission from drive to neutral, the car stops shaking. If I switch back to Drive or reverse, it car starts to shake again. What could be wrong?
actually anyone can't solve that problem correctly until you explain much about the shake.but there are many kinds of shakes. If there is a problem in CV joints you may feel a shake. Also if there is a problem in the connecting rod you may get the same feeling. If you hear a noise with the shake it could be a problem of lack of power steering oil. If your power steering oil hose broke once, you may get the same unfortunate feeling.
