If your wipers were froze down or stuck down when you tried to use them. It maybe the wipers are designed so that the bolt which is fastened to the fire wall backs off. try tightening that bolt and see if they do not been working again! From LHZ
The issue with your 2002 Oldsmobile Intrigue's wipers stopping in the wrong position is likely due to a faulty wiper motor or a misaligned wiper transmission. The park position is determined by the motor's internal circuitry, which may be malfunctioning. To fix this, you can either replace the wiper motor or check the linkage for proper alignment and operation. Additionally, checking the wiper control switch may help identify any electrical issues affecting the wiper's movement.
Wipers on a 2000 Oldsmobile Intrigue may stop in the middle of the window due to a malfunction in the wiper motor, a faulty wiper switch, or an issue with the wiper linkage. Additionally, if the wiper arms are misaligned or if there’s an electrical problem, it can prevent them from completing their full range of motion. Checking the motor and electrical connections, as well as ensuring the wiper arms are properly attached, can help diagnose the issue.

My 2002 Olsmobile Intrique cruise control works some times when you set it, why?
Activate the rear wiper and open the upper tailgate while in mid-wipe. The wiper will stop, and you can replace the blade. When completed, close the tailgate and the wiper will return to the rest position. Be very cautious not to pull on the arm, it will damage the internal workings. www.tnrovers.com
it needs a new throttle positioning sensor
usually it would be cable that conects the wipers to the controls, you might have your best bet on electrical too
My mechanic replaced a pin in my 2002 Pontiac Montana wiper motor and that solved the problem. It was a very easy fix. The pin is visible if you look at the top of the wiper motor.
Sounds like a bad connection somewhere. Check the wiring harness to the wiper motor for good connection. Check wiper motor ground too. (note: had a car once where the wiper motor was just loose.) If no help, maybe you have a bad wiper switch.
I would check your Ignition Module. That's the first place to look.
replace the window regulator.
