It usually takes a month maybe two to get back up to speed. But, that doesn't mean you will get pregnant right away. Many couples try for months before catching, so don't be dissapointed if you have a third period after coming off the Birth Control. You can increase your chances by using the rhythm method, try to have frequent sex when you are ovulation for the greatest chances of success. Good luck!
I was on the pill (Yasmin) for 5 years and got my period 4 days after I stopped taking it. Everyone is different though.
After beginning Yasmin, the pill can regulate your periods. Yasmin is normally a birth control pill that is used to prevent pregnancy.
Anytime between the 2nd and 6th placebo pill.
yOU BEGIN TAKING YOUR FIRST YASMIN TABLET ON THE LAST DAY OF THE ACTIVE (PINK) YAZ tablets, or at the very latest on the day after your last inactive (white) yaz tablet.
that is quite common. i had this problem for months because my birth control was ultra low dose (yaz). i switched to a regular low dose (yasmin) and the bleeding stopped and went back to a normal cycle. if you just started taking BC, keep doing it. if after three months the bleeding is still frequent, talk to your doctor. you may need a higher dose.
Yes. I was on Depo for approximately 10 years with NO period and then to the pill for about a year with controlled periods. I have since stopped taking ANY type of birth control and have had long 2 week periods and even two full periods a month. It will eventually regulate if not ask Dr. about Provera.
That's the most likely explanation.
I assume you are taking the pill like yasmin or something to that effect. I can honestly say that when you are taking a birth control, it is normal for it to regulate your periods, but honestly, sometimes nature comes before any chemical you can treat it. So if you think this is a major side effect, talk to your dr. If not, go with the flow. No pun intended.
At the end of a packet is always the best way to stop taking any BCP.
Birth control affects everyone differently. I heard that yasmin has something in it that counteracts water retention thus helps with weight gain, and sometimes can make you lose weight. But since birth control affects everyone differently, some people still gain weight on it because of the synthetic estrogen and progesterone (which are stored in fat cells)... Yasmin also mildly helps acne. I'd say .. if you wanted to figure out what would happen if you stopped taking yasmin, you'd have to assess what actually happened to you while taking it. Your body would slowly go back to normal. It's not one huge change that happens within a few days so there'd be nothing to worry about.
it depends on your body, i stopped taking b.c. after taking it for 3 years and my periods were more normal than they were on b.c. but i forgot to take it sometimes. i don't like b.c. because it makes me gain weight.
Ovulation normally returns 2-4 weeks after the last pill regardless of how long a woman has been taking the pill. If her periods were irregular prior to using the pill, they are likely to resume their irregular pattern when she stops the pill.
