Yes, in time if you quit fooling around with ridiculous dieting. Eat smart! I'm proud of you for getting away from the bulimic situation as it can kill you! Here is a little help. 3 1/2 ounces of protein is needed at each meal. This can include chicken, seafood, fish, lamb, pork, red meats (not necessary if you don't care for red meats) cheeses, tofu, legumes (beans). Dairy products such a yogurt, milk, eggs, etc. Grains (flax seed is excellent) as are whole grain breads and cereals. Veggies such as carrots (leafy green veggies such as broccoli, brussel sprouts (good for the colon), spinach (loaded with iron), yams (good for the hormones) and squashes. Fruits of all kinds are also good. Good antitoxidants are Cranberry juice and Pomegranate juice (cleans out the body). Exercise! This can be walking, jogging, biking, going to the gym, yoga, etc. 8 - 8 ounce glasses of water per day and more if you are working-out and perspiring (flushes out the kidneys, wastes and fats in the body). If you eat the above you won't gain weight unless you are pigging out on chips, greasy burgers, etc. Fast foods are loaded with fats. Think of this ... the reason we love some foods is because it one or more of three things ... sugar, salt or fat! Olive Oil is great for you and can be used in cooking. Stay away from the sweets. If you eat well all week then have what I call "a piggy night" where I eat some of my favorite foods I generally don't eat and then the next day I'm back on my diet. If you drink with your friends drink in moderation because booze makes a person old very quickly eventually leaving them bloated and saggy looking not to mention being hard on the liver and kidneys. Drugs of course are simply out of the question. There are no magic pills for dieting and it just takes someone bright to figure out by eating right (and it can taste just as delicious as any fast foods). You'll just feel better.
