It is always best to report all accidents to your ins. company your policy contract also requires you to. If there is no damage, then the adjuster will contact the owner and get an 'offical' statement that there indeed was no damage, thus preventing the other party from coming back three months from now claiming some, it is to protect you. Also you don't know for 100% that someone else didn't see you, they may have gotten your plate, now it appears you are a hit and run driver.....damage or not. so they can sue you
