It's more important that you both share the same viewpoint on children. If you both desire children (but you are medically unable to), why not look into becoming a foster parent or adopting a child?
It's more problematic if you and your husband disagree on having children. It's important to not see the other person's view as selfish or wrong, but indicative of knowing themselves pretty well. If you and your husband disagree on children, you don't have to make a decision about your marriage instantly--suggest counseling, see how you both feel in another 6 months or a year about the situation.
If one of you decides you want to raise a child and the other disagrees, then you have to end your marriage. Making a deal to raise a child will not turn an unwilling partner into a good parent. Your marriage will erode if one of you dedicates yourself to parenthood and leaves your partner at the emotional sidelines.
