It depends on what you send in the mail, if it was harmless with no ulterior motives, then NO its not cheating...if you implied hooking up with him or something like that , then YES it can be considered cheating. um... it all depends on what you say or do when you're emailing that person. For instance if you're sending sexual images to the person, then yeah that's pretty much what i would consider as cheating on your partner.
You should do nothing. This is probably none of your business unless you have reason to suspect he's cheating on you. But simply writing to a gay friend by email is not cheating.
Not exactly cheating but you have the right to be pissed.
cheating, or maybe he wants something for other reasons
Sorry to say it, but you can't know. Even if you were face to face, you may not be able to know unless you are told of it.
* It's possible they are not cheating at all. Your boyfriend and his married lab partner work together and of course they will be asking questions of each other. This does not mean that he is cheating even though he has emailed her. The email may be a carry on from the lab work they do together. One way you can become part of this factor of lab work your boyfriend is doing is to start getting interested in what he does when he is home and ask questions. Try to learn some of the things he's learning. He would probably be delighted you are interested in his work. If you have a solid relationship then communicate your feelings to your boyfriend. He probably doesn't even realize how you feel. Let him know you are willing to learn a little about his lab work. Don't second guess this situation and don't accuse him of cheating. You could simply tell him you feel left out.
If your boyfriend is cheating on you and you only communicate through email, there might be some signs to look out for. Look for changes in his behavior, such as being secretive about his email or acting distant. Look for any suspicious or inappropriate emails or messages he might be sending or receiving. Lastly, trust your instincts and have an open and honest conversation with him about your concerns.
