A relationship that lasted so long will take a long time to get over. Remembering why you and your ex broke up will help you put things into perspective. Obviously the relationship didn't work out so it wouldn't be a good idea to get back together. You have to think that in order to move on. You and your ex shared a lot, that is why you miss him. It isn't about you wanting him back, it is about losing part of your soul which will take time to retrieve.
