You may or may not be. You need to check at that county clerk's office. It is the officiant's obligation to return the marriage license to the issuing office so your license may have been returned and recorded without your knowledge. Generally, if the license is never returned there is no vital record made and thus no proof of the marriage.

Is unlawfull to remarry same person without a divorce?

It is not unlawful but it would be of no effect. You can arrange a "ceremony" where you reaffirm your marriage vows but it wouldn't be an official marriage. You would not be issued a marriage license if you applied for one because you would have to disclose to the issuing authority that you are already married. Marriage is a civil legal status. Once you're married you are legally married. You can't do it again legally unless you divorce in between marriages. It is not unlawful but it would be of no effect. Can you be married by a judge in California and get a license after the ceremony?

If you don't have a license for him to sign at the time of the ceremony, it cannot be recorded and so from a legal sense, you will not be married--except in your hearts.AnswerNo. You must have a valid marriage license in order to get married. The license must be signed by the official who performs the marriage and the license must be returned to the clerk's department that issued it. If there is no marriage license there is no marriage.
