you can still bleed for quite awhile after a miscarriage, i bled for nearly 3 weeks when i lost mine and it is perfectly normal. Your body will gradually adjust itself but if you have any concerns then speak to your gp or nurse

If there is heavy bleeding during the first trimester and a couple of days later it stopped but there was still brownish spotting with abdominal cramping is there a chance for a miscarriage?

Any bleeding during pregnancy needs to be evaluated by a doctor. Heavy bleeding is a sign of miscarriage, but you have to see a doctor to be sure and to be checked for your health, as well.

Is it safe to use a tampon a few days after a miscarriage?

No, tampons should not be used a few days after a miscarriage and there's no reason to use tampons as you will not be menstruating at that time. During miscarriage tissue from the pregnancy needs to be expelled, the cervix is more open so you're at higher risk of infection and TSS - thus using tampons would be very dangerous. If you still have bleeding then use pads or period underwear.

It is likely that there is a miscarriage. It should be checked out, but you could also just be cramping cuz your body is changing and you can also still bleed when you're pregnant. yes

Can you have a period even if your HCG levels are still elevated after a miscarriage?

Yes. This is where timing comes into play. Your first period should be about 28-30 days after the miscarriage - that was my experience anyway.
