If you had many wives and each had died and gone to heaven and then you die and go to heaven who will be your wife in heaven?

Scripture says "The same day Sadducees came to him, who say that there is no resurrection; and they asked him a question, saying, "Teacher, Moses said, 'If a man dies, having no children, his brother must marry the widow, and raise up children for his brother.' Now there were seven brothers among us; the first married, and died, and having no children left his wife to his brother. So too the second and third, down to the seventh. After them all, the woman died. In the resurrection, therefore, to which of the seven will she be wife? For they all had her."

But Jesus answered them, "You are wrong, because you know neither the scriptures nor the power of God. For in the resurrection they neither marry nor are given in marriage, but are like angels in heaven. They even ate food which Abraham prepared for them.

• the bible teaches that anyone can go to heaven. Jew or Gentile. Jesus himself said it. Think about it... do you think God would really send us to Hell just because we are not Jews. He loves all of us Jew or Gentile and would like for us all to go to Heaven. • First of all, just because you are not Jewish doesn't mean you can't go to heaven, ...or your wives will never go to heaven-whatever...what kind of bible do you have?! It depends what kind of person you end up to be in the inside and no one knows where heaven really is and to know you have to live a good life of doing good deeds, and not kill yourself, etc... and then die in God's hands.

• 1. Death is NOT final The verse from Mark makes that clear. The Old Testament verses which are all listed above, refer to our physical body here on earth and the end of our need for wisdom, work, or reward beyond the final reward of heaven itself as God will take care for us personally after we die here on earth which is referred to as the First Death. The Second Death is when our spirit is resurrected from the grave and either cast into Hell (a place separated from God and his Love and Nurturing) or sent to Heaven to live with God where he will provide for all our spiritual and emotional needs forever.Mark 12:26 Now about the dead rising?have you not read in the book of Moses, in the account of the bush, how God said to him, 'I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob'? 27He is not the God of the dead, but of the living. Going to Heaven does NOT depend upon the type of person you are inside or whether you live a good life of doing good deeds.It depends on your willingness to understand that we as humans were created in the IMAGE of God himself. And like all images, we are an imperfect representation of the original. Through that imperfection and our God given ability to choose right from wrong, we all have chosen at one point or another to do what is wrong. That is Sin. Because of the natural consequences of Sin for the person doing it and those around them, God, being a sinless being, has separated us from is perfect Self. Because there is a price to pay for every crime, whether it's against man or God, and because justice must prevail against sin, a penatly must be paid for Sin. That penatly is Death in Hell, which is a permenat separation from God. But God had a plan and sent his son, Jesus to earth to live a sinless life. A life that didn't warrant the sin penatly of death. But He sent Jesus to die as a sinless sacrafice and take on that penatly of death for all those who would accept the gift He gave us. In that way Jesus SAVED us from the natural consequences of our Sinfull choice.

The 144,000 from Israel represents those in the final days of tribulation before Christ's return to earth of those from the tribe of Israel that will come to know and accept that Jesus of Nazareth is/was the expected Messiah (savior) mentioned all throughout the old testament. It does NOT represent only those that will go to heaven. Revalation 7:9 makes it clear that there will be a great multitude of people from EVERY nation that will stand with GOD in heaven. Those who stand with GOD are clothed in white robes with the Lamb (Jesus). The white robes are symbolic of those being cleansed of the stains that sin causes in our souls. That cleansing occurs when a person accepts Jesus' death on the cross as the just payment required for sin that Jesus paid on our behalf.Revelation 7:9 After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could count, from every nation and all tribes and peoples and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, and palm branches were in their hands;

• Marriage is an earthly gift from God to fullfil our earthly physical and emotional needs. In heaven, God himself with provide all our emotional and spiritual needs (our physical self will have passed away) so there will be no need for a spouse.Revelation 21:4 and He (God) will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and there will no longer be any death; there will no longer be any mourning, or crying, or pain; the first things have passed away."As Mark 12:25 says,25When the dead rise, they will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven. We will be like the angels who live in perfect communion with God. If the wives you had on earth also go to heaven, they will also be as the angels are but they will not be subject to an other former spouse.

• This is a really old question, as marriage is just for this life, as we are married to Christ in heaven, being the bride of Christ. There is a Marriage Supper of the Lamb just for our marriage, which is what we could call our Heavenly Reception. As for the guys, who are used to being the groom, our genders our out of the window too, as angels do not have genders, and plus, earthly marriages (though they don't apply in heaven) make a man and woman one flesh.Death is not the final but if you are not saved when you die, you will experience the second death, which, regretablly is! The second death, according to the Bible's Revelation, is when death and hell are cast into the Lake of Fire, which is the third stage for the lost who died before Christ died on the cross. Before Christ died on the cross, there was Abraham's bosom, which was in the middle/heart of the earth (which was divided, one for the saints and one for the lost), and those saints who were there were brought by Christ to heaven, with the lost staying where they were, with the area where Abraham's bosom was being turned into hell.Salvation, as said above, is for all who believe, not just the Jews, that they are sinners and that they need Christ to come into their lives and save them, changing their nature from wanting to sin to wanting to live for Christ and to save others.

• In Matthew 22:30, Christ teaches that worldly marriages endure while we are on earth. According to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, however, revelation has been given relating to eternal marriage. Marriages performed in LDS temples are believed to endure death. Doctrine and Covenants 132:7- "And verily I say unto you, that the conditions of this law are these: All covenants, contracts, bonds, obligations, oaths, vows, performances, connections, associations, or expectations, that are not made and entered into and sealed by the Holy Spirit of promise, of him who is anointed, both as well for time and for all eternity, and that too most holy, by revelation and commandment through the medium of mine anointed, whom I have appointed on the earth to hold this power [...] are of no efficacy, virtue, or force in and after the resurrection from the dead; for all contracts that are not made unto this end have an end when men are dead. This is the LDS view/answer to this question.

if the they are not saved and they do not believe Jesus died on the cross for their sins and rose on the third day. well you probaly wont see them but if they do then you will. but remember that you have to be saved too and mean it from your heart.

Edit by Engl1sh: Basically it is said in the Bible that in Heaven you will no longer be married to any of your wives. It also says that you will, however, recognise each one of them. You will feel no desire to be with them (in a marriage or sexual aspect), however, because that could lead to a temptation of lust, and in Heaven, there is no sin.

Another View:

The believer whom God granted with happiness and eternal living in Paradise, will find all whom he loved -who were also granted with eternal Paradise- around him in heaven, his wife (or wives), his children, his fathers, ....

God will make all those who dwell to Paradise forget those who went to hell, so as not to feel sorrow for them, coz in Paradise there is no sorrow nor grief.
