Where can you get cfw for PSP?
In order to get CFW you need a few things a memory stick(I suggest one with at least 1G of memory). A USB cable for your PSP or be able to stick your memory stick in your computer. Lastly you need PSP 1000. Some psp CANNOT get CFW because of their motherboards. Most PSP 2000's can get CFW, but at the time when I got CFW no PSP 3000's could get it but now some can. I'm pretty sure not PSP go's can get it. Also only some firmware can get CFW, so don't update it. Any questions go to http://pcconsoleforum.0fees.net

well now u can get a Hellcat's Pandora Installer Revision 4B -Signed- software that is the same thing as having cfw however it can run on ofw i just tried it on 6.10 so try that

IF you mean by dark _alex's custom firmware... he said he is not going to make anymore. So either find another homebrew which is NOT M33 eg HX or hopefully he will be pursueaded by everyones concerns. HOpe that helped that may be true but there are hackers and developers other than dark alex. If he wont make a new one, someone else will. Expect it later in the future but for now just work with 4.01 m33-2, that is currently the most advanced CFW or custom firmware.

Hey, When you want to play free games or downloaded games (the same actually) you need cfw. "Cfw" stands for Custom Firmware, and that stands for hacked firmware. Your Psp needs to be hacked and loaded with cfw in order to play the downloaded games. Things you need in order to hack a psp: A psp phat or slim (without the Ta-088v3 motherbord or higher). A Pandora battery A Magic memorystick. Why you need a psp phat or slim? Because newer psp's have newer mobo"s, and they don"t work with a Pandora battery. Why you need a Pandora battery? Because you need to put the psp in service mode, so your psp can load files from the memory stick Why you need a Magic Memorystick? Because you need to replace your official firmware from soney, with custom firmware. Where do i get a Pandora battery? Look on dealextreme.com, you can buy very cheap batterys from there. How do i make a magic memory stick? You can download various magic memorystick makers, some better than others. For a newbie i recommend you to use "Psp Grader". Search on the net for the most recent version. What do i do if i have both of them? Neither now there is a new download for 3.90 which includes a skype capability which is capable of calling landline phones or computers if you would like and it improves the PSP quite significantly. ============================= Yeah You could upgrade to 3.90. I still like my 3.71 m33-4. I have no need to update.

Pandora Battery is a TOOL to GAIN Service Mode Access for the PSP. That's it. Now PSP 3000 ARCHITECTURE is Different from PSP 1000/2000. However, when a Pandora battery is inserted in the PSP, it does TRY to Activate the Service Mode, But PSP 3000 doesn't let it. Conclusion: Do not Throw Out Or Convert your Pandora Batteries (into normal ones) Just Yet. You may find it useful in the Future. In technical Terms: Pandora Battery can only "Activate" the Service Mode. There is no IPL to penetrate & overwrite the NAND-FLASH0.

No, you must use a Pandora's Battery. Only PSP firmware 3.50 or below can have custom firmware flashed over it without using a Pandora's Battery and Magic Memory Stick. With 3.50 and below you can use a Lumines UMD. With 3.03 and below you can use an unpatched GTA: Liberty City UMD.
