All US states and territories honor each other's requests for extradition. If OR wants you badly enough to enter your name into the NCIC computer Hawaii will eventually catch up with you. Better to turn yourself in and get it over with.
The smallest in size would be the state of Hawaii.
A flight from Maui, Hawaii to Eugene, Oregon would take about 5 and a half hours to complete. There is approximately 2,489 miles between the two locations.
It would have remained a monarchy.
Nothing would happen if a business sued Oregon over Measure 91
Technically, that could happen, but they'd probably not pursue it due to the cost of prosecuting it. It would be more likely if it were a crime that carried a larger penalty.
Oregon does not extradite unless its a felony nand sometimes they dont do it then.
a warrant would be placed for their arrest... and I believe they are fined...
Well it would be just California, Oregon, Washington, and Alaska and San Diego. Hawaii is an island and does not share its coastline. Seattle in on the Puget Sound. Portland in on the Columbia/Willamette Rivers.
They would lose a lot of money they get from the tourists bring to them. Also the big resorts would shut down and there would be alot of lost jobs so in general Hawaii would lose A LOT of $!!!!!!
i just called and they said they don't even check for warrants, the guy told me they don't have anything to do with the police unless you are trying to get a license, and you have a warrant from a traffic ticket, although i would not try to get your license with a warrant or you will probably get caught
It is possible that that could happen, but they would have to swear to the truthfulness of the warrant they applied for. If it isn't true they can be charged with contempt of court, or false report to law enforcement, or some similar charge.
Here's some advice: Contact the Clerk of The Court that issued the bench warrant. Advise them that you are aware of the bench warrant, but that you now have the money to pay the fine. Ask them if the court would consider withdrawing the warrant if you came in voluntarily and paid the fine amount. I have known of this to happen.
