There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a revised resume when you show up for an interview. Due to the possible delay between when they received your resume and when your interview happened, some things could have changed. For instance, you left a job and needed to revise the dates of employment. Or you learned a new skill in school that wasn't originally on your resume. It's also possible that you've revised the way things were originally worded or reorganized the way things look. In addition, you could have sent them a functional and now have a chronological. I've personnally taken many interviews over the years in a wide variety of fields and never ran into a problem. It's not uncommon for information in the working world to be updated so it's more current. So a resume being updated isn't generally a negative. In other words, to most interviewers, it's not that big a deal! Bad move! You should never edit a pre-existing resume. Obviously the one that you handed in worked out pretty well considering you were able to get an interview. if you edit the resumme now they'll think that you're falsely trying to build yourself up in order to obtain employment. Leave it as is and go on the interview. Everything will work itself out in the end.

Do you need a cover sheet for your resume?

No. Your cover letter should have been submitted with your initial resume. You take a resume to your interview so that the interviewer may look over it while speaking to you and clarify anything they have questions about. A good interviewer will bring their own copy of your resume tot he interview but you should also bring a couple of copies just in case there are others at the interview who would like to look over it.
