If the dish does not carry the signal you may need a converter box to receive bascic channels like these.
It depends on the package you purchase. You can purchase the basic channels or you can purchase the premium package that offers more channels. You should contact the cable company to get a list of channels they provide.
Either something's not right with the box, or you don't have a strong enough signal to make the box receive the TV stations properly. An antenna signal amplifier may cure the problem.
Locals channels are controlled by the zip code. The FCC, through the zip code designates which local channels a subscriber receives. You can get most times CBS, FOX, NBC, ABC, and PBS stations. You can go to our website and input LOCAL CHANNELS in the search box in the upper right hand corner of the page. Select "Local HD Channels & Satellite TV - DISH Network". Fill in the information on the next page and you can see the local channels available in your area.
You can go to our website and MyDISH. Type in Programming Guide in the Search box. Select your program package and input your zip code, then select Submit. All you channels are listed on the following page. Your local channels are listed first. Just look for NBC. Thanks.
It is very possible! I had Dish come and hook it up for me.
Most of our receivers except our K models and the 922 receivers, have a coax port labeled TV Antenna In/Over The Air Antenna In. This allows you to receive the alternate local channels in your area. The K models and 922 receivers required an OTA module that plugs into the back of the receiver. With this module, you can receive the alternate local channels.
TV 'packages' are bundled together. Many TV providers lump local channels in with their bundles ! If you don't want to pay for a huge chunk of channels - use a freeview box ! I get all my local channels plus around 70 other TV channels.... all without paying any fees.
It is hard to understand your question, but if you are referring to why you cannot get all the channels when you split the cable is becaue you have to have a cable box hooked directly to the TV in order to access all the channels. It is the cable companies way it racking in more money and it works. The cable box is used to decode the signals in order to get access to all the channels.
