the first time i got the shot i was okay on not having my period for the first two months then i spotted until my next shot. I'm due for my 3rd shot, and this time it was only a week-2weeks (i lost track). but its just spotting, not like my usual period.
I got the depo shot ONCE in Jan. 09. I got my period three months later. All of my ovulation predictor tests have been negative each month since then, and no signs of ovulation. It is now Nov. 09 and still not pregnant. I am so frustrated, I have other children but I don't want to be done just yet. If I knew it would take this long I NEVER would have done the depo. ..well plus I gained 60lbs and all my hair fell out. I wouldn't recommed depo to ANYBODY!
I've heard it can take 18-24 months for Depo to be completely out of your system.
As long as a woman has her period, if she is fertile, she can be impregnated.
The depo usually lasts for 6 months, after this time women need to have another shot to remain infertile. so usually after 6 months you can become pregnant again. However, it can last a lot longer than that, the depo can really stuff up womens cycles and some women find it very difficult to get pregnant again after the depo shot.
I feel ya, im suppose to have my period and i have cramping as well but no period, i have been off depo for 2 months...i'm so worried about being pregnant, i was on birth control in Sept. but dont know when to start it again, because no period...how long have you been off Depo?
It may take as long as 18 months to get pregnant after stopping the Depo injections
It can take a long time to get your period again or to get pregnant. It took me 18months before my cycle started again.
It all depends when you start ovulating again. You can get pregnant again without ever getting a period since the egg comes before a period. If you breast-feed your period typically comes back later.
I have no idea what depo is, but anything that makes you have your period for that long can't be good for you. Maybe consult a doctor
When pregnant, you do not get your period
It depends on how long you were on the shot and what your overall health is. The longer you were on the shot, the longer it will probably take for you to get your period again. Once you get your period, it may take several months to regulate itself again. Hang in there and thing should return to normal within 6-24 months.
probably not, just not used to the surge of hormones being on the shot again... when in doubt a urine test is ten dollars. joymaker rn
ive read that no it doesnt matter how long you are on the depo it just depends on your body..some women get pregnant right away and some take a year or longer..good luck
