How long does it take for allergic reaction rash to appear from medication?

I had a allergic reaction to penicillin, i took 3 tablets of amoxicillin and the next day; my fingers swelled up and i had a rash. So about 12 to 24 hours, however, even if the drug that caused the allergic reaction has left your body, the rash and other symptoms can still stay.

As long as the child is not allergic, the effect should be a decrease in infection symptoms. If allergic, the child will often develop a fine skin rash on belly, back, and arms, or hives. A severe reaction can also affect breathing which is a medical emergency. If your child has a reaction, call your doc and stop the medication. The Doc will order a different med.
