If the accident is noteworthy often the news reports of certain channels MAY mention this on their broadcast and give the account # and the bank's name. It's wonderful you are doing this and often the news likes to end (after all the bad news) something up lifting and you may just get your wish. Phone the news channel in your area and discuss this with them. If the news channel refuses to broadcast this, another way you can do it is by 'In Trust' (this protects against fraud) and you can give flyers out anywhere or ask permission to put up your poster. Some banking institutions will give a donation if there is a set-up trust or a special account for the accident victim. Go and ask them. It's good PR for them and also good for tax write offs.
