Just speculation here, since I don't know your boyfriend, his moral values (if any) or what motivates him... but I'd guess that when he found out that you were pregnant, he felt trapped. Now that he's no longer trapped, he's so relieved that he wants to make sure that doesn't happen again. While there may have been some feeling of responsibility for your unborn baby, he is probably feeling relief and there's a good likleyhood that he's trying to put distance between himself and the possibility that it will happen again. I would doubt that he's a good candidate for a long term relationship.
