"No .if u dont do ur junior cert ur a retard"
This right there is crap to say just because mainstream school doesnt suit everyone is an understatement! It never suited me at all, it doesnt suit everyone. As long as youve a goal set out, if you wanted to study law and you couldnt bare be in school another because of what ever reason you may have, weather it the way teacher way or the way you learn. There are different paths for everyone. I plan to leave school after my junior cert, im not a straight A student, im not a failure either, I know whats best for me, Im dyslexic and I know that the way teacher teach me or the way i learn isnt working in mainstream school. I want to go on and study law, everyone is different, everyone learns differently, please dont put people in the same boat.
SPHE is done from 1st year to 6th year in Secondary School so it is a Junior Cert subject. However, it is NOT a TEST SUBJECT
because it takes 13 years to complete school and you are not going to start school before the 5 or 4.. but in many countries you can leave at the age of 15 or 16 as in Ireland you can leave at 16 after you have completed the junior cert..
pass more subjects then fail junior cert means nothing

No, not necessarily. What you do at leaving cert isn't so important, it's college that counts. To teach at leaving cert level, you need to do a chem related degree and then a H-dip. With a physics degree and H-dip you can teach leaving cert physics and leaving cert maths. With a biology related degree and H-dip you can teach leaving cert biology. The requirements for teaching junior cert are less demanding. A general science degree may suffice. Alternatively you could do a degree in Science education (my degree yay!) and then you can teach physics, chem, maths, bio, ICT at junior cert level and a choice of two from physics chem maths at leaving cert without having to do the extra years H-dip. Reply if you'd like to know more. Hope this helps, Ambross
depends where your going to school...
