If you rake a band aid off your finger why is it paler than the rest of your finger?

Because when you put a band aid on your finger, your locking all the moisture on that part of the finger. When that happens, your finger is really damp so when you take the band aid off after a long time then it just turns all mushy and wet. You are not really making your finger paler.
