If you realize that your small children and yourself are victims of emotional abuse by their father - your husband of 5 years - how do you approach the ultimate unapproachable man about the issue?

I am truly sorry to hear this and this is a dangerous situation because most abusers are sitting on a powder keg. We know we have to protect children and by confronting him he'll only become more abusive and the children will have to listen to this verbal abuse. Often times, if the mental abuser feels he is losing control of his wife and perhaps lose the children he could physically harm you or the children or beat you senseless. Fear is always the factor in control. I suggest you find out where you local Women's Abuse Center is and make an appointment. The counselors there are wonderful people and will tell you how to handle this problem. You will get a great deal of protection and support. If you can't find the Women's Abuse Center there, then phone your Mental Health and they will give you the phone number. Good luck God Bless Marcy
