It's okay to say, "If you won the lottery, you could buy a car."

Yes. Don't send any money or personal data.
I just got an email saying I won the 2008 lottery for this exact same lottery in 2008, which more than likely means this is fraud.
Yes there is a UK National Lottery and this is regulated by the British government through The National Lottery Commission and is contracted out by tender every few years. The company currently running the lottery for the UK Government is the Camelot Group plc. The lottery may be real, but if you receive an email saying you must send money somewhere to collect your winnings, that is a scam. Especially when you have not bought any tickets.
i have receive the email that's saying i have won the money, may i ask it this true
No,There are only two legal lotteries in Britain, the National Lottery and the Monday Lottery, and they do NOT use email to notify winners.DO NOT reply to any emails you receive saying that you have won a lottery that you did not enter. They are frauds. You will lose your money. There is no "free lunch"; don't be foolish and believe a scam!YOU WILL NOT BE NOTIFIED BY EMAIL BY ANY LEGITIMATE LOTTERY THAT YOU WON A PRIZE. If you do receive such an email, it IS a fraud, do not reply to it!
It is a scam. There is no free lunch. They will attempt to steal your identity or milk some money from you sooner or later!
If you receive any kind of correspondence (whether it be by mail, email, phone, etc) saying you won a lottery, prize, etc that you did not purchase a ticket for or ask to be considered, then IT IS PROBABLY A SCAM. Anytime we are offered something for nothing, it sounds too good to be true then IT PROBABLY IS. If you are asked personal contact information, that's one thing. You should NEVER give your social security number to ANYONE via email. You should be VERY CAUTIOUS about what information you post on the internet. And, if after all of this you are not convinced or you aren't sure, there are websites out there to help you so do your research!!
I received a letter saying my bills were overdue.
