no. everything from your iPod will be erased, but your iTunes will stay the same, so when you sync it again, everything will be on your iPod again

I'm not a expert at this but i had had to restore mine a couple of days ago. You need to make sure you have the NEWEST version of itunes then plug your iPod in and click on the little iPod at the side of your itunes and goto settings and click restor and it wil delete all your songs off your iPod but still be on your itunes so you jus sync them back on
