If the lender has obtained a judgment against you, and garnishment has begun, yes. The lender will continue to garnish your wages until the balance of the debt is paid. This could include the remaining balance after the vehicle was sold at auction and all costs, interest, and penalties incurred by the repossession.
if my wages are being garnished can they still take my income tax check?
No
Yes.
If the car is being repoed then you owe something.
The state of Massachusetts protects public employee pensions from being garnished, however, you can still find yourself unprotected. The state doesn't protect the disbursements from retirement accounts such as 401k(s) and IRAs.
Not sure who "they" are...but they can use all legal means to collect what you swore you would pay.
your wages still garnished
yes, you still made the income
it's still repoed it just takes a little longer
Even if you could you would still owe the bank the money they paid for the car.
Yes.
WHO is still taking money from your check? and, for WHAT purpose is the money being garnished? If it is for IRS liens, child support, or some other court ordered payment, those are not affected by bankruptcy filings.
