it sounds to me like the switch is bad i had a Mercedes with the same problem it would go down but not back up and i finally replaced the window switch and now it works fine
if its an 88 acura legend then you will need to remove the couple of bolts that hold it down and take it to the local auto store. like other cars you can just replace the bulb but on these acura you need to replace the whole headlight unit
On the acura legend you have to lift up the motor or lower it down and the transmission to change the mounts,.,,keep in mind on the front supports you can see them just below the radiator and you have to pull that out as well
check the brakes usually click when pads get thin

To the left of the clock (on a Legend L series) is a little flip down panel. This covers the Hour and minute setting buttons. Simply press and hold the buttons down, and the clock time will change.
in the fuse box driver side second or third fuse closest to you down.

electronic vehicle monitoring system in the center console. There are two black buttons on each side that can be fliped down! (reset trip computer)
1)Car running, or just key switch position II 2)Press and hold the button for window down, until the window is all the way down, hold it for a second longer after it is all the way down. 3)Now do the same thing as above, except up. Hold it for an extra second after it is all the way up. 4)Done.
