The amygdala (mostly responsible for emotions) and the hippocampus (long term memory) are in close association with each other for the processing of emotional memories.
The skeleton does not hold any memories. Your brain holds memories. Your brain is inside a brain case made of bone.
A memory can be made by doing anything. Memories are formed by what you choose to remember or can't forget
It is said to be cerebral cortex. But there is something like emotional intelligence. If you are involve in somebody, then you do not forget the person. If you love your job, then holidays are not required and you do not look at the wrist watch, when you work.
You compartmentalize them so that they don't have a negative impact on you anymore. In the case of bad memories, this helps with closure.
All emotional memories are created in the inner brain.

Traumatic memories are more emotional/perceptual and are associated with persistent, intrusive symptoms, avoidance, intense anxiety, resulting in physical/psychological dysfunction.

The receiver of memories must have empathy, emotional stability, and a strong sense of duty to bear the weight of others' memories without being overwhelmed by them. They must also possess a keen intuition to interpret and understand the memories being transferred accurately.
