If you told your ex to tell you if what they really wanted was to never talk to you again and they didn't respond what does that mean?

AnswerIt sounds like your ex is running the show and it's time you stood on your own two feet and gained strength. Never allow anyone to take your dignity away. If you have to be in contact with your ex because of children, then be pleasant and give no more. People have to earn respect, etc., and apparently he's not sure if he's finished hurting your feelings yet or he's not sure he did the right thing as far as the split-up between the two of you.

I asked my N ex to just please tell me he didn't want to talk to me again so I could hear it and move on. I generally have a hard time letting go until I hear those words (don't know why). He finally said it, but added "If that's what you want to hear..." So he had to add that in to let me know that that's not really want he wanted. I hung up after he said that and haven't heard from him in three days now. It has been super hard but thinking back to all the controlling things he has done to me has really helped me from picking up the phone and calling him.
