First off, it does take a few calories for your body to digest and break down the food. Also, the average body needs anywhere from 800 to 1,600 calories a day just to survive. Otherwise, burning some caolires can be easily done (either the same day or in the next few days) with some simple things like doing stairs instead of an elevator. Go for a nice walk. Do a few jumping jacks during TV commercial breaks. Go for a swim or a hike if the weather is nice. If you can, go to the gym for an hour. Eliptical machines are great for calorie burning. A short run or a good bike ride is also good. In no time those 700 caloires will be burned off.
