If you were going to be stranded on an island what 2 food do you need to survive?

Rather than 2 food sources, you'd need water plus proteins.
Without protein, the body begins to consume its own fat stores, then depletes protein stores. Proteins help keep muscles working correctly and keeps muscle mass from breaking down.
But, the body can live longer without any food than it can without fresh water. If stranded on an island, it can be assumed the island is surrounded by ocean, which is salt water and cannot be consumed without serious health risk.
So, I'd hope I was wearing some good hiking boots or strong shoes because I'd need to go find a fresh water source (such as a waterfall or other moving water) and I'd need to find or make some kind of container to hold the water if I needed to transport it. I'd only have a few days to find fresh water before dehydration would begin to affect mental processes and make me physically ill and weak.
